We were planning to eat at outlet center nearby but the outside advertised price of just over $10 for buffet lunch was too enticing. We stopped at Morongo Casino for buffet lunch. Everything else about this quick one night getaway was awesome! However, there was a special event going on in the Cielo, which may have changed the quality and the way they were made. We also had martini's in the Cielo on the 27th floor however, were not overly impressed by these.
The casino happened to be very good to us, this time around. The room decor was well thought out, the view was great, the amenities were plentiful, bed was relaxing, and the bathroom and shower were extremely nice.
It was on par with upper mid-scale hotels and resorts. The hotel is about 10 years old, and the room looks amazing. We checked in and had a canyon view 1 king room. Upon entering this resort, I was impressed with the layout and aesthetic appeal of the casino. Particularly, have never stopped into the hotel, as I am usually pretty weary of Indian Casino Resorts, as the hotel is usually way below normal standards.
I have passed the Morongo several times however, have not stopped in. We took a one night getaway from LA to the Morongo, based on a 1 night free stay from a radio station win.
